Harvest Power welcomed former US Vice President Al Gore to one of our commercial composting sites, Fraser Richmond Soil & Fibre Ltd., on October 15, 2010. Local municipal officials, Government of British Columbia representatives and partners enjoyed a few remarks from Mr. Gore and toured the facility that is at the leading edge of harvesting energy from municipal food and yard waste. On November 9, 2010, Harvest power proudly announced that its Fraser Richmond Soil & Fibre facility will receive up to $4 million over two years from the Government of Canada. The Honourable Christian Paradis, Canada's Minister of Natural Resources, announced the grant alongside distinguished regional stakeholders.
